As of yesterday, I've got 38 miles to go before I reach St. Louis. I'm currently in the vicinity of Mt. Olive, noted for the Union Miners Cemetary where Mary "Mother" Jones, the "Grandmother of Agitators" is buried. Other fun facts about Mt. Olive: It's popultion of around 2200 people is 98 percent white, there are only 3 sex offenders recorded as living here, but, they make up for it by having a higher than average (for the state of Illinois) tornado rate.
